Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)

Interpex now offers two packages for GPR processing. Both packages are stand alone, fully functional programs, but they do differ in design, focus and application areas. To help you decide which, if not both, are applicable to your requirements please consult the table below. This table is not a full feature list of the programs, just a summary to point out the differences. For full details on the individual programs, use the links below to visit the relevant pages.

Data Management: Raw GPR profiles are loaded into a project. Projects are navigated by means of a Data Tree.  Data Management: Raw GPR profiles are loaded into a project and geometry is assigned at import time. Project navigation my means of a project map.
Pre-processing: Complete pre-processing of raw data before geometry is assigned. An extensive toolset exist that will speed up production GPR work.

Individual line or batch processing of raw data to manage trace contents of files.

Pre-processing: Raw data is imported as profiles and only after the profiles are created can the contents of the files be edited. No batch processing are available.
Geometry: Support for complex lines with variable trace spacing. Complex lines can also consist of  segments of varying direction. Also supports import of UTM GPS coordinates. Supports profiles with different units in the same project.  Geometry: Geometry support requires lines to be fairly simple and of constant trace spacing.
Data Presentation: Multiple profiles can be displayed in child windows. Complete user control over appearance. Dual mode viewing, for on screen analysis and paper output. Data Presentation: A single profile can be displayed at any one time. Gradix requires the VGA adapter in the computer to be VESA compatible. This can be problematic on certain machines. Please check with Interpex Support regarding compatibility.
Processing: In addition to pre-processing of raw data, set time zero, depth conversion and elevation corrections are currently supported. More processing will be added in the future. Processing: Gradix has a comprehensive list of data processing capabilities making it an ideal tool for the user that wants to explore the limits of processing on GPR data. It is also ideally suited for educational institutions where the effects of processing needs to be show visually.
Hard Copy Output: Supports all Windows devices and includes 'Presentation View' of profile as it will appear on paper.  Hard Copy Output: Supports most DOS compatible color printers. Printing is done utilizing a third party rasterizer engine. Please check printer compatibility with Interpex Support.
Interpretation: To be added in future releases Interpretation: Anomaly tagging. Anomaly information can be exported to ASCII files or displayed on printed sections.
GRADIX Compatibility: IXGPR can import Gradix projects. Profile geometry and processing versions are preserved.  IXGPR Compatibility: Gradix can not read IXGPR  Projects.
GRADIX uses VESA compatible graphics in DOS.
